This scheme has been devised from teacher and public comment, is multi faceted and would occur at a suitable time outside of school hours.
In a pre advertised three to four hour session, an interactive display would be open to students, parents and citizens to view a presentation with a Spaceship test start up. Before and after this, rides on the Space Buggies for a ‘5 minute duration’ would be sold. The cost of the ride would be $5.00. The ASA would then give 30 % of the earnings to subsidize the in school presentation.
In a scenario over a 2 hour period, with 60 rides taking place, this would result in 30 students being subsidized.
Benefits include:
-
To allow parents and citizens to experience a presentation free of charge.
-
To foster student and parent interaction, in school studies and encourage further personal development in the home.
-
To provide some financial assistance to the school, specifically to host the performance.
This outside of school hours program would be the opportune time for any other sponsor to attend and advertise their product or services.
