In the future and after the ASA has proven it's self as a credible identity and company, it is hoped we can negotiate and collaborate with the government to enfold all government owned space facilities under the ASA umbrella.

This means that all government owned facilities will remain just that, except the management and operations would be unified and undertaken by the ASA. The concept behind this is to create solidarity in the space science community and to focus public interest and national pride into a single identity.

Other gains could be overall efficiency improvements, a greater ability in sharing knowledge and ability for streamlined project collaboration. I know that there are some major hurdles to overcome, to achieve this type of result and some of these facilities have international partnerships and arrangements, but success with such an idea will eventuate in benefiting all involved.
